The workshop provided an immersive experience into the realm of merging technology and medicine. Attended by a diverse group of USC students, ranging from aspiring healthcare professionals to data enthusiasts, the event commenced promptly at 6:00 PM.

GRIDS hosted a Workshop on Food Classification at SSL202, inviting USC students eager to enhance their data analysis skills. Presented by Daksh Patel, the workshop provided an immersive experience into the complexities of food classification. The event offered attendees the chance to participate in hands-on activities and tasting sessions.
This workshop was led by Mrs Ann John. The workshop explored the intersection of data science and the US Space Force, with a particular focus on the safety group at the SSC division. The workshop began with an overview of the US Space Force and its mission to protect US interests in space. It then moved on to explore how data science is being used to improve safety and efficiency in space operations.
The PowerBI and Tableau event workshop was a great opportunity for everyone to learn more about the two most popular data visualization tools in the industry. The workshop featured presentations and hands-on exercises designed to help attendees learn how to use PowerBI and Tableau to create engaging and insightful visualizations.
Partnering with USC AAAI, our very own Samar Haider gave a presentation on Deep Learning to an enthusiastic crowd of aspiring AI technologists from GRIDS, AAAI, and other student organizations. For our first industry event of the year, members of the Data & Analytics team from Slalom Consulting LA gave a talk on Data Science in Consulting. They described their philosophy and approach to data science/machine learning projects, took us through some real-world client projects, and gave a demo on Amazon Sagemaker. It was a fun and valuable experience for everyone that attended. Thank you, Slalom!
